We’re Hiring A Social Media Specialist!
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This role presents an opportunity to work with an emerging brand seeking to establish itself as an influencer in the healing and contemporary art milieus. We will offer you one-on-one mentorship in contemporary art and/or any combination of healing services up to a value of $1,500 per month.
We are an integrated, research-driven healing and curatorial practice engaging in earnest, critical conversations about contemporary art, healing, and spirituality. The practice stems from the premise that both art and healing are about making: artists make art works, curators make exhibitions, and healers make sustainable integrated solutions that positively affect their clients' well-being at the mind, body, and spirit levels. The curatorial practice engages with and advocates for artists through articles and publications, curating exhibitions, and talks. The healing practice identifies and uproots imbalances in the mind, body, and/or spirit; (re)establishes harmony so that all can work in good concert; and provides clients with adaptable toolkits they can use over time to sustain their healing.
You will set us on a trajectory for steady engagement, online and offline, that communicates the Brand in a positive, authentic way that attracts today’s modern, hyper-connected consumers.
You are a highly motivated, creative individual with a passion for driving engagement. You will regularly engage with audience and potential customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of growing the Brand’s audience, and turning them into loyal fans, ambassadors and long-term clients. As such, you will be instrumental in managing the company’s content-related assets. The competitive candidate will:
Have a proven record of accomplishment growing audiences and increasing engagement via social media;
Possess knowledge and experience in branding and social media best practices;
Demonstrate creativity and documented immersion in social media;
Possess excellent writing and language skills;
Have experience managing content development and publishing;
Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios;
Effectively communicates information and ideas regardless of format;
Possess working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics;
Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”;
Possess functional knowledge and/or personal experience with SquareSpace;
Demonstrate winning social customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution;
Possess great ability to identify potential negative or crisis-situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues; and
Be willing to engage in self-directed study on the topics related to the Brand’s key offerings.
Additionally, the following qualities are desired but not required:
A marketing degree or related academic training;
Proficiency or fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and/or French; and
Possesses a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant in the healing and contemporary art spaces.
Strategy and execution
Ensure that we are always on brand and when not, get us on brand;
Advise on visual design and development for website and social media properties in alignment with brand message;
Map out a comprehensive, growth oriented social media marketing plan and execute engagement strategies proven by testing and metrics;
Advise on the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content;
Implement a content editorial calendar with publishing schedule to manage content and plan strategic, timely marketing campaigns;
Advise on design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, Blog, etc.); and
Advise on the efficacy of open streams for cross-promotions.
Manage day-to-day social media activities including:
Grow Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook followers through genuine engagement with individuals and communities in the healing and contemporary art spaces, locally, nationally, and internationally;
Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts;
Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target audience;
Manage all published content
Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales;
Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and respond to each review; and
Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
Analytics and Tools
Leverage trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns;
Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed;
Leverage the right tools to manage content. Promote content through strategic social advertising; and
Design, create and manage strategic promotions and Social ad campaigns informed by web site and social media analytics.
The desired length of time is minimum three months with the possibility of extending. You are expected to commit to 20-25 hours per week, excluding weekends. Preference given to candidates located in Seattle, WA.
