Since its founding by the Behnke Foundation, the Neddy Award has been given out nearly every year to outstanding Pacific Northwest visual artists, including Anthony White, Claire Cowie and Christopher Paul Jordan. To celebrate the prize’s quarter-century history, Seattle curator Negarra A. Kudumu brought together contemporary artwork made by former recipients. While you may think this would result in a potpourri of styles, Kudumu has orchestrated an excellent, coherent show where colors and materials echo, themes bounce off each other and multifarious works beautifully showcase the breadth of Pacific Northwest art.
